For those of you who remember my previous late-night obsessions over five prior paintings, you'll be happy to know that two more Paint Plots have just arrived to get me through the winter! In exchange for their purchase, I promised not to stay up until 2am working on them and completely zoning out from the family. Fingers crossed.
I have done 5 other paintings so far, which started out as a way to keep myself occupied through the Covid lockdowns, but they ended up serving as great gifts!! Paint Plot is a small company out of Australia, so the paintings take a while to arrive (2-3 weeks), but they're worth the wait. They have paintings with varying degrees of difficulty (i.e., detail), but I just buy based on the scenes I like. There are several other "paint by numbers" companies out there, but be careful what countries they source their materials from.
These newbies are two mountain scenes, both very reminiscent of some camping trip locations we visited last summer: "Forest Bliss" and "Idyllic River." They remind me of getting away from the hustle of the suburbs and reconnecting with the quiet and peace of the woods.
For a refresher, the five previous Paint Plot I did were as follows:
"Forest Wolf"
(X-mas gift to my mom and dad)
"Ireland Cliffs"
(B-day gift to my mother-in-law)
"Winter Landscape"
(X-mas gift to my aunt and uncle)
"Collecting Moons"
(X-mas gift to our good friends in CA)
"Dolomites"
(saved this one for us; over our mantle)
